  Dimensions

CALDsoft7 has its own method to dimension using 2 different types of dimensions: the linear dimensions (type 1, type 2 and aligned) and the angle dimensions.

Linear Dimensions Type 1 and Type 2

Linear dimensions aligned and compared with the type 1

Angled dimensions

CALDsoft7 dimensions also can be exported (DXF and DWG) with the unfold. However, they will be exported in a different layer making which makes it possible for the user to easily to deactivate them.

  Change joint position

CALDsoft7 allows the user to change the joint point of the unfold. One can choose from any bending line.

  Divide unfold

The option to divide the unfold in two or more parts with only a few clicks was also included. With this, the user will have more autonomy when producing his parts.

*1:Unfold in one part; 2: In two parts; 3: In four parts.

  Add border

CALDsoft7 makes it possible for the user to add borders of the wanted size on the unfolds. This can be done individually (one by one) or automatically (all welding lines will have borders).

  Optimizing Costs

CALDsoft7 automatically finds the lowest cost to produce the part with the help of a detailed worksheet of costs of work force (welding, cutting, assembly etc.). With this, it helps to reduce costs without losing even a minute.

See an example of the same unfold optimized below:

Higher cost

It is interesting to note that on the shape above that the size of the welding will be 1219.57 mm while on the optimized one (shape below) the size will be 406.4 mm of welding (reduction of 67%). The smallest plate, in the second case, also had a reduction on the cost of 27%.
